Community Fundraising Creates Impact Across the South Burnett

Throughout the year, SBcare staff came together to support a range of important causes, turning awareness days and fundraising events into opportunities for connection, education and positive community impact.

From meaningful conversations and colourful events to shared cups of tea and community activities, each initiative provided an opportunity to raise awareness and show support for causes that affect many individuals and families across our region.

Staff proudly participated in a variety of events throughout the year, including R U OK? Day, Movember, Blossom Beyond Anorexia, Walk for Dementia, Purple Muck Day for Epilepsy, Autism Awareness, Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, and Disability Learning Day. Each event encouraged greater understanding, inclusion and connection while supporting important health and wellbeing initiatives.

These activities highlighted the strength of community spirit within SBcare. Whether raising awareness for mental health, supporting people living with dementia, promoting disability inclusion or contributing to cancer research, staff embraced every opportunity to make a difference.

Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of staff, clients and community members, more than $4,600 was raised throughout the year. However, the impact extends far beyond the funds raised. These events sparked important conversations, increased awareness and strengthened connections across our communities.

Working together for causes that matter reflects SBcare’s commitment to supporting not only the people we serve, but also the wellbeing of the wider community. Every event, donation and conversation contributed to creating a stronger, more connected and more inclusive South Burnett.
