The Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) provides entry-level support for older people who need some assistance to continue living safely and independently at home. The CHSP has been extended until 30 June 2027.
CHSP is an Australian Government funded program that provides entry-level support services for older people who need some help to remain living independently at home.
Generally, CHSP is available to older Australians who need support to continue living independently. Eligibility is determined through an assessment arranged via My Aged Care.
The first step is to contact My Aged Care and complete an assessment. Once approved, you can choose a service provider that best suits your needs and preferences.
