About the role

The Groups Team Leader sits in our Service Delivery Team and is responsible for supporting participants to access a range of activities which focus on their abilities and interest as well as complementing their individual Support Plan. The role will require the development, design and organisation of programs and activities along with the necessary compliance and documentation.
The Groups Team Leader will create and manage a calendar of events and activities that adhere to SBcare polices and procedures and ensure appropriate staffing and resourcing of these activities.

Skills and Experience

  • Certificate III Individual Support or similar qualification. (Desirable)
  • Demonstrated commitment, experience and understanding in working with NDIS clients
  • Experience at a Team Leader level. (Desirable)
  • Ability to successfully plan, develop, implement, resource, and review effective programs and activities.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • High level computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to assess medical, social, environmental factors and the degree of functional ability of clients.
  • An understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices.

Your tasks will include:

  • Develop, document, coordinate, implement and review the activities, calendars and programs delivered within the Centre and group framework.
  • Liaise with Staff and Clients to ensure the delivery of a quality service.
  • Ensure enquiries and requests are managed in a timely manner to support information flow across the organisation.
  • Complete all planning and reporting for Non-Face to Face activities relating to group and Centre activities.
  • Create, lead and participate in the delivery of a planned calendar of activities both within the Centres, Community Groups and for Group STAs.
  • Create programs and activities that are suitable for all clients and meets the needs of individuals (including personal care needs) and encourages client choice, independence and enjoyment.
  • Ensure clear communication with team members around expectations and parameters for programs and activities.

  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Updates
  • Open Driver’s Licence (current)
  • Current Vehicle Registration and Compulsory Third Party Insurance
  • Current Comprehensive Vehicle Insurance
  • NDIS Worker Screening Card
  • Positive Working with Children (Blue) Card
  • Positive National Police Check
  • COVID-19 Immunizations
  • Current Influenza Immunization
  • Complete Pre-employment Health Declaration outlining any pre-existing conditions (as detailed in section 571 of the Workers Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003).
